CM Yogi: UP’s new era is defined by ‘one district, one medical college’

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, on Thursday inaugurated the Medanta Super Speciality Hospital in Sector 50 of Noida. At this, he said that the state previously had the image of “one district, one mafia”, which has now transformed into “one district, one medical college”. The CM also took a visit to the upcoming airport, Noida International Airport in Jewar. What did CM Yogi say? The Chief Minister said, “Eight years ago, Uttar Pradesh was identified by its policy of ‘one district, one mafia’. Now each district is identified by one medical college. Health facilities are increasing regularly.” After spending almost half an hour, he left for Delhi. He highlighted that the mandatory need for an 18-metre road has now been reduced to 7 metres. This will help the state to build more such infrastructure. CM’s mention of PM Modi CM Yogi mentioned PM Narendra Modi and said his government “linked about 50 crore people to Ayushman Bharat. Uttar Pradesh took this work forward. Those who were left out spent ₹1,300 crore on treatment in a year from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. This continues unabated.” CM Yogi on AI in healthcare He urged the healthcare system to promote AI and said, “Better use of AI in health services can significantly improve facilities for common citizens. Work is already underway – the centre of excellence at IIT Kanpur is developing capabilities in this area.” The chairman of Medanta and managing director Dr Naresh Trehan, Noida BJP President Mahesh Chauhan, MLA Pankaj Singh, and district-in-charge minister Brijesh Singh were also a part of the event.
